Oh Canada, LMFAO loves you!

“We love Canada, and the people love us,” Redfoo said backstage at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards.

“Canada has always been the first place that has received LMFAO. We went to No.1 here first and that showed the rest of the world. After that we went No. 1 in 18 other countries.”

With their hefty hit single, “Party Rock Anthem,” now certified 6x platinum and “Sexy and I Know It,” scoring double platinum here above the border, LMFAO can’t help but crush on Canada.

Last month the nation gave the party rockers some more sugar when they beat out the likes of Coldplay and Maroon 5 for International Video of the Year during their MMVA hosting duties, a job well done if they do say so themselves.

“It was an amazing experience,” Redfoo said. “That was our first time (hosting), but it looked like we’d been doing it every night. That’s what we do during our show every night, we’re always going back and forth with the banter.”

Before LMFAO packs it all up for the European leg of their Sorry For Party Rocking Tour, the guys are spending their last days in North America at Quebec City’s Summer Festival and at Laval’s Centre de la Nature.

If you can’t make it to the party, no worries, they promise to return.

“We will come back here forever,” Redfoo added. “We might have to get dual citizenship because that’s how long we’ll be here.”

LMFAO plays Quebec City’s Summer Festival on Friday, July 6 and Centre de la Nature in Laval on Saturday, July 7. You can find LMFAO on twitter and facebook.
