Jully Black is among the 2013 Juno nominees

Jully Black’s single, “Fugitive,” is up for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards.

With Kreesha Turner, Shawn Desman, The Weeknd and Grammy Award-winner Melanie Fiona in the same category, the competition is fierce.

“We have awesome acts and Canada has really flooded the airwaves in America,” Jully says of her peers. “The R&B scene in Canada has definitely come a long way. We got it goin’ on up in the north!”
