Jesse McCartney to tour with the Backstreet Boys
Jesse McCartney is joining the Backstreet Boys on their 20th anniversary In a World like This Tour and sharing opening duties with DJ Pauly D.
Also just in, Jesse announced that he has been working on new songs that he will perform on the tour that kicks off on August 2.
Speaking of Jesse’s music, here is some trivia for you.
Did you know that Jesse co-wrote Leona Lewis’ 2007 breakthrough single, “Bleeding Love?”
In fact, the hit tune was initially written for Jesse’s upcoming album at the time.
“I was building up my catalogue for my new album. It wasn’t intended for another artist,” Jesse says. “I hadn’t even heard of Leona at the time. It was just one of those songs that was sitting in our files and probably would still be there right now if it wasn’t for her.”
In a World like This Tour kicks off in Chicago on August 2. Jesse and the Backstreet Boys play Montreal’s Bell Centre on Tuesday, August 6. More tour dates here. Follow Jesse on twitter and facebook.
