Fergie’s road to success: Next stop, new album
It’s been over a decade since Fergie released an album, but the wait for her new record is over.
The Black Eyed Peas leading lady is just about ready to release Double Dutchess, the followup to her solo debut, The Dutchess, and the bar is sky high.
Released in 2006, The Dutchess produced a handful of Top 5 singles including the No.1 hits “Fergalicious,” “London Bridge” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”
The album sold over 9 million copies around the world and earned Fergie a hefty stack of nominations and awards including an American Music Award, a MTV Music Video Award, a Teen Choice Award and an iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Award.
This goes without mentioning all the achievements and massive success Fergie has had with the Black Eyed Peas.
Now how does someone who has accomplished this much define success?
Fergie says she shares her father’s view.
“He told me this one quote a long time ago and I feel like I’m really understanding it now. He told me that success is a journey.”
And Fergie’s journey to greatness has only begun.
