Steve Nash’s playlist

SteveNashWho said tailgating your dreams would be easy?

“Well, it wasn’t me,” laughs Montreal actor Steve Nash. “I’ve been pursuing mine for more than 10 years.”

While Steve is a real Jack-of-it-all, dabbling in everything from fitness to standup comedy, acting is his first love, and like any relationship, it’s hard, hard work.

“It’s a very tough industry and a lot of doors close in your face, but like anything, if it’s really what you want, you can’t let that stop you. You’ve got to go out in full force and persevere.”

Refusing to throw in the towel, Steve rolled with the punches, and finally got his first break last summer with the Quebecois CBC series Unité 9.

“I’ve got to thank my agent, Maria Morella. She stuck by me and kept telling me to be patient, that my time would come.”

Now Steve can be spotted as a werewolf in the fresh season of Montreal’s hottest TV export, the Syfy channel’s Being Human.

“I feel so blessed to have worked alongside Sam Witwer and Sam Huntington in a production as special as Being Human. I actually didn’t want to leave,” he laughs.

“There was a big sense of belonging and comfort when I stepped on set. You might be there for one season, or you might be there for one episode, it doesn’t seem to matter. Whoever you are, the crew treats you like family.”

Speaking of kin, Steve wants to send a shout out to his friends and family who have supported him along the way, and to a buddy, Lou Tellis, who is no longer with us.

“Hey Lou, look, I finally got it, I’m going to be on TV. I hope they get the Space channel in Heaven.”

While Steve lines up more projects, you can get to know the dynamo via his playlist here.
