Jeremy Fisher’s playlist
Jeremy Fisher cleaned house at the 8th Annual Hamilton Music Awards last night. The singer snagged Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Best Video. And it’s all thanks to his praised third album, Flood.
Accepting his awards, Jeremy acknowledged his roots and mentioned how thrilled he was to have returned home for the special occasion.
The songwriter grew up in Westdale and has since lived on the West Coast and in Montreal.
Below is a dose of the playlists Jeremy put together the last time he made his way across the country.
.
Planets – Kate Rusby
“I have never heard such purity in a voice. She’s from England and sings beautiful folk songs.”
.
One Great City! – The Weakerthans
“Played a fun show in Winnipeg. As we pulled into town the opening lyric: ‘A darker grey is breaking through a lighter one’ came true.”
.
Time To Move On – Tom Petty
“Another great driving song.”
.
Hummingbird – Imaginary Cities
“I just love this band and this is my favorite song of theirs.”
.
Furr – Blitzen Trapper
