Buffy’s Julie Benz is a diehard Game of Thrones fan

Like Game of Thrones fans everywhere, Buffy and Dexter alum Julie Benz saved the date and has her DVR set for the return of the most fiery fantasy on television.

“I’m a huge, huge fan. I love Game of Thrones,” Julie says.

You know how they claim love makes you do wacky things? Well HBO’s award-winning show has this enthusiast acting a little cray-cray.

“I have two dogs at home that I call my dragons,” she laughs. “I like to pretend I’m Khaleesi.”

If you aren’t familiar with the term, it was invented by author George R.R. Martin for his best-selling book series A Song of Ice and Fire on which Game of Thrones is based.

And the word means queen.

“My imagination works overtime,” adds her royal highness.

Season 5 of Game of Thrones premieres Sunday, April 12 on HBO.
