Gillian Anderson is guest of honor at Montreal Comiccon
Update: Gillian has since cancelled her appearance due to a filming schedule conflict.
Gillian Anderson and her X-Files co-star David Duchovny are set to be guests of honor at Montreal Comiccon this summer.
The 10th edition of the con marks Gillian’s return to Montreal (the superstar was among the celebrity guests in 2013), and says she is looking forward to coming back for the big event.
“Montreal Comiccon is really awesome,” Gillian tells me.
“It’s pretty cool to see fans face-to-face and meet the people who follow my work.”
Gillian will have multiple occasions to greet and meet with her followers as she and David take part in photo ops, autograph sessions and a Q&A panel on Saturday, July 7.
Gillian has been a sci-fi fan favorite for over two decades since she was cast as FBI agent Dana Scully in The X-Files back in 1993. While she is no stranger to the genre, but believe it or not, she is a newbie to the fan convention circuit.
“I’ve been working so much, so I haven’t been doing cons and panels that long,” she explains. “But I’m loving this.”
Well Gillian, the feeling is more than mutual.
Montreal Comiccon runs Friday, July 6 through Sunday, July 8. Visit montrealcomiccon.com for passes, artist lineup, schedules and more info.
