Bebe Rexha drops “Last Hurrah,” first taste of upcoming album
Bebe Rexha just released “Last Hurrah,” her first single of 2019.
The catchy pop track sees Bebe declaring her intent to give up a long list of vices starting with drinking, smoking and fellas.
The accompanying video, which has reached over 9 million views on YouTube since it premiered on February 21, was conceptualized by award-winning director Joseph Kahn whose credits include Britney Spears, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift and U2.
“Last Hurrah” is the first taste of Bebe’s upcoming album. The yet-to-be-titled record will follow-up Expectations, her 2018 debut gold LP which includes “I’m a Mess” and the Grammy-nominated hit “Meant to Be” featuring Florida Georgia Line.
With chart-topping success across the board in pop, rock, country, EDM, hip-hop and R&B, chances are Bebe’s new album will be a mash-up of styles and sounds. Diversity is something Bebe says she aims for.
“All my favorite artists have been able to jump from genre to genre and that’s what I look up to.”
The global success of the star’s pop/country crossover hit “Meant to Be,” which spent 50 consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart (the longest reign ever by a female lead artist), proves she has what it takes to conquer any genre she pleases.
“I’m from New York City and I never imagined having a pop/country collaboration,” she says. “For it be to so successful, it’s taught me that I have no boundaries and I could just do whatever I like in music.”
