Dee Wallace’s playlist
Dee Wallace, forever famous for starring in Steven Spielberg’s E.T: The Extraterrestrial, is now the star of Death House, the horror movie event of the decade.
Written by the late Gunnar Hansen, remembered for his role as Leatherface in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and directed by Harrison Smith, Death House is the horror genre’s answer to The Expendables, the movie series that brought together action heroes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jason Statham and Jet Li.
Now horror gets the same treatment as Dee bands together with scary movie legends Kane Hodder of the Friday the 13th and Hatchet sagas, Tony Todd of Candyman and Final Destination, Bill Moseley and Sid Haig of House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, Michael Berryman of The Hills Have Eyes, Barbara Crampton of Re-Animator and You’re Next, Adrienne Barbeau of The Fog, Felissa Rose of Sleepaway Camp and indie scream queen Debbie Rochon.
Dee, also an icon of the genre, earned her spot among these familiar faces of horror after starring in staples like The Hills Have Eyes, Cujo, The Howling, Critters, The Stepford Wives, The Frighteners, The House of the Devil and Rob Zombie’s Halloween.
Dee also guest starred on Supernatural, TV’s longest-running horror series of all time.
Dee’s role in Death House marks her second collaboration with Harrison. The Hollywood veteran starred in the director’s 2015 flick Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard alongside The O.C. alum Mischa Barton, Titanic’s Billy Zane and Felissa Rose, with whom Dee was also reunited with on the set of Death House.
While Dee was filming the upcoming scare fest, she put together this playlist of her favorite songs.
“They may be corny,” she admits. “But here they are.”
Moon River – Andy Williams
I Love Myself the Way I Am – Jai Josefs
What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
New Attitude – Patti LaBelle
When a Man Loves a Woman – Percy Sledge
Death House is set to be released on Friday, January 26, 2018. Follow Dee on twitter for updates and other upcoming projects.
