Evanescence’s playlist
Amy Lee and the boys are back. Five years may have gone by since Evanescence’s last album The Open Door was released to the airwaves, but the band didn’t waste any time reclaiming their position at the top of the charts.
The Grammy Award-winning band’s new self-titled album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200, making this effort their second No.1 record.
Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who has lent his expertise to rock elite like Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Rush and Deftones, the album is Evanescence’s most aggressive yet playful recording to date.
It’s also the group’s first real team effort. After all the publicized drama with ex-members, Amy found a new sense of musicianship and shared the creative process with her new band mates.
That’s where the very fitting self-titled part comes in. Evanescence is a coming of age album about the band returning refreshed, regrouped and refocused.
Here is a handful of strong musical acts from Amy’s playlist.
Massive Attack
Bjork
Led Zeppelin
The Pretty Reckless
Portishead
Jane’s Addiction
