From vampires to Titans, Kellan Lutz has an action addiction
“I love action movies!” Kellan Lutz says grinning like a five year old.
The Twilight stud is in seventh heaven and so proud of scoring the role of Poseidon, Greek god of the sea, in director Tarsem Singh’s 3D motion picture Immortals.
The epic adventure starring Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff and Mickey Rourke hits theatres Friday, November 11.
The action doesn’t end there. Kellan reprised his role as Emmett Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, opening in cinemas everywhere just one week from the Immortals premiere.
This actor’s been busy. In between the latest Twilight Saga installments, Kellan also managed to find the time to star in Arena, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, and in A Warrior’s Heart, with fellow Twilight vamp Ashley Greene.
“We’ve all been blessed,” Kellan explains. “The Twilight Saga allows us to venture out into other arenas. These movies take about three months to shoot and they opened up so many doors.”
Kellan credits Twilight for catapulting his career and introducing him to western Canada, while Immortals, filmed in Montreal, gave Kellan a taste of the east.
“The people are awesome,” Kellan comments on Canada. “I’ve shot in Vancouver and loved it. Montreal, I fell even more in love with.”
In addition to lusting over Canada and action movies, Kellan adores an active lifestyle. You’ve seen his physique, you don’t need a clue.
And during his stay in Montreal, the actor couldn’t sit still.
“I love the Bixi system,” Kellan says.
What’s next for Mr. Lutz? He craves more action projects and hopes to land them in Canada.
“I really want to film something in Toronto. Every place I’ve gone to in Canada, I’ve fell in love with.”
