I’m God – Lil B

“Lil B rules. Listening to Lil B mixtapes riding my bike was all I did this summer.”

.

Love Affair – Copeland

“My favourite song of all time. I’m pretty sure that ‘just let me run where I want to run, just let me love who I want’ sums up everything I felt as an angsty suburb teenager. Haha!”

.

Late Night Calls – Prince Caspian

“I hate so many lines on this record, because I didn’t think of them first. I love the way the dude writes. All the girls I hang out with are going mental over this record right now. All the guys just haven’t started to admit it yet.”

I Believe – EMF

“I have no idea what in particular draws me to this band so much, there’s just this rad pulse to all of EMF’s 1991 album Schubert Dip. I feel like if I surfed, I’d find a way to listen to this track while surfing.”

The Zone – The Weekend

“I just looked, and the most played track on my itunes is ‘The Zone’ just another dude born in 1990, running around Toronto doing his thing. Unreal at what he does.”

Gold and Denim” featuring Martina Sorbara is available now. Follow Hometown Beatdown on twitter and facebook.
