Canadian superstars The Weeknd, Drake and Justin Bieber dominate the nominations at this year’s Canadian music award show.

The Weeknd is in the lead with a total of 6 Juno nods including the big one: Artist of the Year, while fellow phenoms Drake and Bieber follow suit with 5.

Other top nominees include City and Colour, Hedley, Metric and breakthrough talents Alessia Cara and Shawn Mendes. These two new kids on the block have impressively earned four nominations each.

A special mention goes out to my pal and one of my personal fave singer-songwriters Sarah Blackwood and her band Walk off the Earth.

The gang from Ontario is up for the following three Junos: JUNO Fan Choice, Group of the Year and Pop Album of the Year for their masterpiece Sing It All Away.

Congratulations all!
