Sam Huntington’s playlist

Being Human, the North American adaptation of the U.K. supernatural series of the same name is coming to an end.

After four seasons, Syfy has cancelled the Montreal-filmed drama leaving lead actor Sam Huntington with a load of bitter sweet memories.

“The best part of it all was working with my costars Sam Witwer and Meaghan Rath,” Sam says. “They’re just so generous and talented. They have made me a better actor.”

Sam is also going to miss Montreal, the city that became his second home.

“I have this thing with Montreal. I feel like we’re soul mates,” the New Hampshire native says.

“I love the culture, the people, the food, the weather, the parks. I love everything, all of it. It’s just a great place.”

Take a look at some of the musical acts Sam’s been listening to on his way to the office.

.

Modest Mouse

“I love them dearly. Something about them just touches me. It’s like this music was made for me.”

.

Arcade Fire

“They’re up there for me. This is music that gets me emotional and motivated. Epic indie rock is my favorite and they’re from Montreal!”

.

Foster the People

“I really dig ‘Pumped Up Kicks.’ It’s a fun song, isn’t it? This song in particular gets in my head. Man, it is catchy and fun to sing. My kid likes it. ”

.

Manchester Orchestra

“I like that they’re more of a traditional rock band and they’re not afraid to go loud.”

 .

Metric

“Their melodies and vocals are just hypnotic. They make music that I really want to listen to. ‘Gold Guns Girls’ is such a great song.”

.

Mumford & Sons

“I can’t leave out Mumford & Sons! They’re also one of my wife’s favorite bands right now. They can’t do any wrong in my household.”
