Sheri Moon Zombie’s playlist
USA Today declared Sheri Moon Zombie a “Scream Queen” in 2007 and she’s been proudly wearing the title since.
The crowning was a nod to her acting debut in husband Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and her roles in The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween and Tobe Hooper’s Toolbox Murders.
Since then, Sheri’s made a couple more additions to her resume: Halloween II and The Lords of Salem, Rob’s latest film currently in production.
Before 2003, film wasn’t exactly Sheri’s career path. The actress spent time in school studying voiceover and broadcasting before meeting Rob and finding a recurring role in the rocker’s videos and later, his films.
When the actress isn’t on a movie set, she’s designing and creating men, women and children fashions for her clothing line Total Skull, inspired by her love of rock and roll.
Judging from her playlist, Sheri also adores her classic rock.
Come Together – The Beatles
“The shoop at the beginning grabs me… and then my head moves side to side. The groove is so good.”
.
It Don’t Come Easy – Ringo Starr
“It’s Ringo’s best solo song and it makes total sense to me. ‘I don’t ask for much, I only want your trust.’”
.
Happy Xmas (War is Over) – John Lennon
“It’s a song I listen to many times during the holiday season. It’s introspective and heartwarming. Brings me a warm feeling and cheer every time I hear it.”
.
My Love – Paul McCartney
“The first line is ‘and when I go away I know my heart can stay with my love.’ It’s such a connective song for couples that find themselves apart from each other at times. It’s reassuring.”
.
My Sweet Lord – George Harrison
“When I was a kid I thought it was ‘My sweet love.’ I had no idea that it was Lord. It’s such a deep, thoughtful song that evokes such inspiration, hope and love. I can’t get enough of this song, that’s why I saved it for my last favorite pick. It’s a song for all people.”
