Jonathan Toews’ reason for playing the game
Jonathan Toews, captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, just led his team to their second Stanley Cup win in four years.
This guy is driven and has always had his eyes on the prize.
Jonathan won gold at the 2005 World U-17 Hockey Challenge, the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships and at the 2007 World Championships.
The jock scored gold again at the 2010 Winter Olympics and won the Stanley Cup for the first time that the same year.
Other than for the fame and the glory, Jonathan says he is in it to win it for one good reason.
“To meet beautiful women,” he laughs. “That’s what a lot of guys play hockey for.”
