Shay Mitchell of Pretty Little Liars wants a little something more
The actor’s daily planner has been packed since filming of the ABC hit series kicked off 6 seasons ago in the summer of 2010.
Shay loves her pretty little routine, yet the Canadian wishes she could venture off the PPL camp and knock a few more things off her bucket list.
“I would love to do movies,” Shay says, but her big commitment to Liars doesn’t leave much of a window open for extra curricular activities.
“It’s really hard with our schedule because we’re off for three months, on for 9 months, so trying to fit something in that perfect timing is a little difficult,” she comments.
The stars recently aligned for the Teen Choice Award nominee. She worked out her schedule kinks and landed a role in the upcoming film Dreamland.
Shay didn’t dig her nails into any script she could get her hands on. Dreamland is the directorial debut of Robert Schwartzman, frontman of the LA rock band Rooney who also happens to be the nephew of the great Francis Ford Coppola, making him a cousin to Oscar-winning director Sophia Coppola and movie star Nicolas Cage.
Shay is cast opposite cine-pros Beverly D’Angelo of National Lampoon’s Vacation, Talia Shire of The Godfather and Rocky fame and Ferris Bueller’s Alan Ruck. The budding director’s brother, Jason Schwartzman, seen in last year’s The Grand Budapest Hotel also stars.
Dreamland premieres Thursday, April 14 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
