Mother Monster hatched the title of her hugely anticipated album to her 28+ million followers on twitter last weekend.

ARTPOP is what Lady Gaga’s labeled the follow-up to 2011’s Born This Way, and she tweeted a snapshot of her new matching tattoo along with the breaking news.

Gaga originally planned to unveil the new album details in September, but she was just too eager to sit on it any longer and justifiably so, she’s been working on this new project for a while now.

“I’m already writing new music,” Gaga said last year when I caught her at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards.

The international icon continues to work hard at ARTPOP and impressively finds the time as she conquers the eastern hemisphere on her Born This Way world tour.

Gaga’s also spoiling her little monsters overseas and test driving new material like the brand new track “Princess Die,” written while on the road.

“I’m obsessed with songwriting. I’m just really happy being a songwriter,” she says.

Come September the Grammy-winner will be more than a record breaking songwriter with #1 albums to her name. Gaga will be releasing her very first fragrance, Fame.

September also marks the second time Gaga will grace the cover of Vogue. This time, the star bagged the biggest issue of the year, the September book.

With Vogue and the launch of Fame, why not take a cue from fellow pop stars like Gwen Stefani and J.Lo, and pump out a fashion line too?

Gaga’s controversial style and original creations already command attention on a global level.

“I’d love to have a line,” Gaga says. “Quite honestly I would love to have a line where I could stop making music for a while, just maybe a year, and really devote my time to it, but that’s not gonna happen soon.”

For now, let’s stay focused on the music, and as requested by Gaga herself, a little extra attention is required.

“Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details*,” she tweets.

Think of Gaga’s orthographical demand as a chummy nudge and not a slam at copy editors or members of the press.

“The press is your friend,” she says. “It’s all an art form.”

The September issue of Vogue hits stands Tuesday, August 21. Fame launches in September.
