Paul Greene’s playlist

PaulGreeneBaby, it’s cold outside, but the Holiday season just got warmer.

Former Bitten heartthrob Paul Greene stars in the upcoming Hallmark feelgood comedy A Christmas Detour.

The View’s Candace Cameron Bure (who we also know from Full House) costars in this misadventure about two NYC-bound travelers, Paige and Dylan, who cross paths when they’re grounded in an airport hotel in Buffalo by a nasty snowstorm.

Though bitter and heartbroken, Paul’s cynical character steps up as a knight in shining armor and offers to get an engaged and hopeless romantic Paige to her destination where she is to meet her soon-to-be in-laws and plan her dream wedding.

As suspected, this detour won’t be an easy one and as their wild ride moves on, the two come will have to face a few challenges, each other and themselves.

Over the phone from LA, Paul compiled this playlist of a few of his favorite tracks.

.

Moontribe Full-Moon Gathering (Sunset opening set) – Anton Tumas

“This is a minimal house set by Anton Tumas who is an incredible DJ. I love this journey. It starts slow, but stay with it, you will be happy you did.”

.

Depth Over Distance (live on KCRW) – Ben Howard

“A live performance for KCRW and one of my favorite versions out there. Such a moving song. It reminds me to go inside and look for answers and let my life have depth. Not just covering a great distance of achieving and succeeding without character.”

.

To Build a Home – The Cinematic Orchestra (Featuring Patrick Watson)

“The name says it all. It’s very cinematic and brings up all kinds of imagery and tugs at the heart of loss and a past that happened not quite as planned. So pretty.”

.

The Air That I Breathe – The Hollies

“This song reminds me of other songs that during one of the rare times when my parents would leave us alone in the car, I was around  7, and I’d change the station from the death grip that country/gospel station held on our car and catch a breath of this kinda free flowing air. Instant nostalgia. The chorus is so epic and embarrassing.”

.

Amor Fati – Washed Out

“This tune is very optimistic and it is the ultimate driving song if you were driving in Iceland or ice skating on one of Saturn’s rings. Washed Out is super talented. Director Christian Lamb showed me their video and I was hooked.”
