Michael Buble is up for Album of the Year at the 2020 JUNO Awards
Pulling Canadian-made jazz tunes to the top of the charts around the world is one heavy haul.
“I work my ass off,” Michael Buble says.
As tough as it gets, the superstar crooner keeps on trucking and his hard work is paying off, especially in the awards department.
A four-time Grammy winner in the US, at home in Canada Michael has become the poster boy for the JUNO Awards since his first win in 2004.
“Years ago I couldn’t believe I was up for a JUNO award for New Artist,” Michael says. “A few years later I won a bunch of awards, it’s just unbelievable.”
Since Michael’s debut, the Burnaby-born star has won 14 JUNO Awards.
This year’s nod for Album of the Year for Michael’s No.1 platinum-selling record ❤️ (Love) brings his nominations to the impressive sum of 37.
The competition for the win is fierce with fellow nominees including Alessia Cara and Bryan Adams, but having knocked out heavy-hitters like Celine Dion before, the odds are in Michael’s favor.
