Will Mark Pellegrino return to Supernatural?

Mark Pellegrino had a hell of a time playing Lucifer.

Supernatural producer Jeremy Carver revealed some exciting news about the unfolding eleventh season of the CW’s hit series which premiered on October 7.

According to the big boss, viewers can expect the return of some fan favorites in some unexpected ways.

Among the beloved departed is Mark Pellegrino who won fans over by playing the role of Lucifer in 10 episodes scattered across seasons 5 and 7.

“I’m glad the fans like Lucifer,” Mark says. “He’s a more interesting character than the Lucifers portrayed in the past. At least the way they’ve written him. They made Lucifer relatable. His cause is relatable, even though he wants to annihilate the entire human race.”

Whether the LA-born actor will actually return as Lucifer is still unknown, but Mark would sure as hell jump at the chance.

“I want to come back and beat the crap out of Crowley,” he says. “I love Mark Sheppard personally, but Crowley has got to go.”

Since Mark was written off in 2012, he moved on to star in other prime time runners including Being Human, The Tomorrow People, The Returned and most recently ABC’s crime thriller Quantico. All good times, no doubt, but he misses his Supernatural days.

“One of the things I love about Supernatural is that all the guys and girls who work on the show are freaking awesome. We’re all pretty tight.”

Mark brings up that he also has some unfinished business with lead star Jared Padalecki who as you know plays Sam Winchester.

“We were in an enclosed set and the room was very small. During that scene, the camera was rolling, I’m starting my spiel, and Jared farts. It was a silent, very deadly fart.”

Mark claims that season 5’s 22nd episode “Swan Songs” is visual proof of that rancid flashback.

“Go back and look at that scene where I blow on a window and make that pitchfork,” he says. “The expression on my face was caused by having to do that entire scene in a fart cloud. I have not paid him back for that.”

Mark may have the opportunity to get even. Season 11 was renewed for 23 one-hour episodes and production is scheduled to run from now through April 2016. That leaves lots of leeway for possibilities and surprises.

Here’s to hoping Mark is given the chance to make a comeback and exact his revenge.
