Montreal’s Phoenix Lord collaborates with EDM icon Robin S

Rising DJ Phoenix Lord just released his latest single “I Believe” featuring EDM diva Robin S., famous for her iconic No.1 house hit “Show Me Love.”

When Phoenix Lord started working on music to chase his 2018 debut album The Mass of Phoenix, which reached No.6 on the iTunes Dance charts, he knew he wanted to collaborate with a vocalist.

“After my first album, which is mainly instrumental, I realized that if I want the messages of positivity and hope that I try to convey through my music to be more understood, I’d need a voice to spread it,” Phoenix tells me.

And to do the honors, the choice came easy. Phoenix had his heart set on Robin S.

“Robin has such a powerful voice,” he says. “She is also a very spiritual person and I know we share the same desire to encourage people to keep the faith no matter what they’ve been through.”

So, Phoenix created the track, sent it out to the American singer based in Atlanta, held his breath and crossed his fingers.

“Robin liked it immediately,” he says. “Then she wrote the lyrics, recorded the vocals and send it back to me in Montreal.”

Now Phoenix has a potential club hit on his hands and a big check mark on his bucket list.

“I’m so thrilled to have had the chance to work with a house music legend. Hopefully we’ll have the chance to perform ‘I Believe’ together on stage soon.”
