Shawn Mendes leads the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs

The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVA nominees have been revealed and Shawn Mendes is in the lead.

The four-time MMVA-winner has earned 8 nominations including Artist of the Year, Fan Fave Artist and Video of the Year for his hit single “In My Blood.”

Coming in right behind Shawn is Drake with a total of 7 nominations, while fellow Canadian superstar Alessia Cara scored 5 and global phenom Ed Sheeran has four.

Shawn is also among the 2018 MMVA performers which include Meghan Trainor, Alessia Cara, Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie, 5 Seconds of Summer, Halsey and Kris Wu.

As usual, the MMVAs are going to be one hell of a night and Shawn says being a part it all blows his mind.

“Performing at the MMVAs, even just being nominated is a big dream come true,” Shawn tells me. “I’d watch the show every year and now I get to be a part of it. This is amazing.”

Shawn is nominated for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Best Pop Artist, Best Collaboration (with Khalid), Best Director (Jay Martin), Fan Fave Artist, Fan Fave Video and Fan Fave Single at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs.

Voting is now open for the Fan Fave categories here and ends on Friday, August 24.
